Meet the Editor 💻

Hello, I’m Julia Bubenik, a professional video editor and storyteller based in Austin, TX. My passion for video editing began early when I first experimented with Windows Movie Maker in the 5th grade. This initial exposure to crafting short montages ignited my lifelong interest in storytelling through visual media.

Over the past five years, I’ve had the opportunity to edit over 200 videos across a diverse range of genres, demographics, and creators. My journey has been shaped by a combination of self-directed learning, formal education, and extensive freelance experience. Each project has contributed to my growth as a video editor, refining my skills and honing my ability to create engaging and impactful content.

I graduated from the University of Texas with a double major in East Asian Studies and Radio-Television-Film. This academic background has profoundly influenced my storytelling approach. My goal is to use my post-production expertise to bridge cultural gaps and foster understanding between American and East Asian communities. Whether through narrative films, documentaries, or various forms of short- and long-form content, I am dedicated to connecting diverse perspectives and sharing compelling stories.
